Transcript and audiocassette recording of an oral history interview with Jay Dell Butler conducted by Gary Dewey on July 20, 1985. Butler tells about his experiences in combat fighting in France during WWII. He was in foxholes most of the time, was under fire from mortars, and was wounded in battle. He thought the United States' involvement in the war was justified.

Typescript of an interview conducted by Randy Christiansen for Hillam's War Project. Also included is the audiocassette from which the interview was transcibed. Ash talks about flying combat missions in World War II over Romania, Germany, and other parts of Europe. He flew the B-24 bomber. He was also shot down and captured. Ash talks about his experiences as a prisoner of war held by Germany.

Weeks talks about his youth and about his decision to join the Marine Corps at age 17. He describes his training and his experiences in combat while attacking three different islands in the Pacific. Albert Winkler interviewed Rawson on 14 Oct. 1999 at his home in Orem, Utah, for the office of Special Collections at Brigham Young University. Rawson tells about his experiences during the battle of Iwo Jima. He says that his faith in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was essential to his survival.
